FS5 RAW upgrade

FS5 now upgraded with the Sony RAW license. The FS5 is able to export up to 4K as 12-bit Raw via SDI. This is a major improvement on the 4:2:0 8-bit which it records internally off-the-shelf. According to Alastair Chapman the results particularly recording to the new ProRes Raw codec are excellent.   Shoot in Paris last week coupled with Shogun Flame (can’t say project name) all working nicely. My kit hire page has details of my current shooting kit.

FS5 Kit now available

fs5-big-one-1

I am now available for hire with the new Sony FS5 which I am using with Canon lenses and Metabones adapters – please see kit page for details and rates of all my kit.

The FS5 is a great camera for small documentary and broadcast studio work,  and as perfect as nifty B-camera for bigger productions.  It produces a solid broadcast quality picture at 50MB/s with options for grading plus it has a cached high-speed ability retaining 10-bit 4:2:2 up to 240fps at 1080P.

High-end work, especially in the studio, is also possible by recording RAW to an external recorder.
